Woman’s ex stabbed by current boyfriend; Family calls for justice in young college athlete’s death | KENS 5 News Now

SAN ANTONIO — An argument between a woman’s current and ex-boyfriend ended in violence, with the ex stabbed in the abdomen, SAPD says. San Antonio Police responded to the 4900 block of Arbor Ridge Drive near Callaghan Road northwest of downtown just before 2 a.m. Monday for reports of a disturbance.

It’s been exactly one month since 22-year-old Khadija Derry was shot nearly 20 times as she sat in her car in front of her family’s Converse home. Derry didn’t survive the attack. Derry’s family said they feel this was a targeted attack, calling the crime hateful.
