Wonder Theatre unveils its 2026 lineup with classics like “My Fair Lady” and new twists like “The SpongeBob Musical.”
SAN ANTONIO — Wonder Theatre unveiled its new lineup for the upcoming season over the weekend.
The new season will bring a diverse mix of fan-favorite musicals from classics, to productions inspired by popular media.
The 2026 Main Stage productions will include My Fair Lady, Cabaret, Matilda, The Addams Family, and a holiday show that is yet to be decided. The 2026 Student Season productions will include Oliver, Jr., Chicago Teen Edition, The SpongeBob Musical, Matilda Jr. and the Addams Family teen and youth casts.
Meanwhile, the theater group still has a few more shows in store for the 2025 season. The Sound of Music opens on the main stage after Thanksgiving. Additionally, parents can enjoy watching their students in Wonder Theatre Academy’s productions of Sweeney Todd: School Edition and The Sound of Music: Youth Edition.
Wonder Theatre is a nonprofit organization located at Wonderland of the Americas mall. The theater puts on a mix of main stage productions with some of the area’s best acting, singing and dancing talent, as well as high-quality youth productions which spread the love of arts to kids and help train the next generation of performers.
Since the theater’s move from the historic Woodlawn Theatre, other new businesses have opened up including social media sensations Grim Bakers and Vicious Eats. Both are located in the first flood food court next to Wonder Theatre.
