The sister of the missing Olmos Park woman faces charges after allegedly sending a barrage of messages to relatives of Brad Simpson, accused in his wife’s murder.
SAN ANTONIO — The sister of Suzanne Simpson has been arrested after allegedly harassing relatives of Suzanne’s husband, Brad, with voice messages and emails that accused them of killing the 51-year-old Olmos Park woman who disappeared a year ago.
Brad Simpson is charged in his wife’s murder and has been jailed for months, having not cooperated with police in the early weeks of their investigation. But his family last fall pleaded for him to work with law enforcement in the aftermath of Suzanne’s disappearance, saying he should “accept responsibility and place himself at the mercy of the court” for the sake of the family.
Back on Oct. 7, 2024, Brad, 55, reported that his wife Suzanne was missing. Just days later, he was initially taken into custody after neighbors told police he saw Brad physically restraining his wife and preventing her from leaving the night prior. That same neighbor reported hearing screams soon after.
A little over a week after Suzanne was reported missing, her sister Teresa Clark issued a statement to media on the behalf of her family that was in part prepared by Chandler, Suzanne’s oldest daughter.
“Suzanne was a beloved mother. She was an incredible person,” said Clark, 55, in that October 2024 statement. “We want everyone to know that we are devastated by the loss of my sister. I am here to be a voice for my sister.”
An arrest affidavit, however, states that Clark has been harassing multiple members of Brad’s family constantly since his arrest. She allegedly sent at least two of Brad’s relatives, xxx and xxxx, voice messages and emails accusing them of killing her sister, making statements like “(They) don’t know who they’re messing with” and “(They) won’t get away with this.”
“(Clark) will pick a family member, seemingly at random, and then call them numerous times in an evening usually after midnight,” records state. “”The messages are from several seconds long to several minutes and are very repetitive.”
Even after the family got law enforcement involved and police ordered Clark to stop contacting them, the affidavit states, she continued her barrage of threatening messages along with running a “vigorous social media campaign besmirching” Brad’s family.
Clark was arrested Thursday and faces multiple counts of harassment.
