World-renowned guitarist to perform free San Antonio concert with chamber ensemble Agarita this weekend

Experience a world-renowned Spanish guitarist with Agarita at a free concert in San Antonio’s Tobin Center this Sunday. Tickets must be reserved.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonians are invited to a free concert featuring a world-renowned Spanish guitarist in downtown San Antonio this weekend.

Agarita will team up with Pablo Sáinz-Villegas for a performance Sunday, March 22, at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts at 3 p.m. 

The concert will take place inside the H-E-B Performance Hall and will feature a collaboration between the chamber ensemble and the internationally acclaimed guitarist, known for his expressive style and connection with audiences, according to a press release. 

Organizers said the performance will include several world premieres and highlight a yearlong musical collaboration between Agarita and Sáinz-Villegas, showcasing a mix of emerging voices and diverse programming.

Violinist Suliman Tekalli is also set to perform.

While the event is free, tickets are required and must be reserved through the Tobin Center’s website. All attendees will need a ticket to enter.

The concert is supported by the Russell Hill Rogers Fund for the Arts, as well as the city of San Antonio and the Tobin Center.
