The Rangers players, coaches, and on-field support staff of the 2023 World Series Champions received their rings before Saturday’s game against the Chicago Cubs.
ARLINGTON, Texas — It was banner night on Opening Day. It is ring bling night on Saturday.
During this season-opening, three-game series against the Chicago Cubs, the Texas Rangers are basking in the glory of the team’s first World Series title (deservedly so). The Rangers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games to claim the 2023 championship, and opened the 2024 season with a thrilling, walk-off winner in extra innings to kickstart the new season.
The World Series championship rings were unveiled on Saturday, hours before the Rangers’ pre-game ceremony starting at 5:15 p.m. WFAA got a look at the ring and its details. Here is a look:
The championship rings were created in collaboration with Jason of Beverly Hills.
“There was a lot of pressure when designing this ring, not just because it was a first for the Rangers, but because it is also our very first World Series Ring. With this delivery Jason of Beverly Hills will have designed championship rings for the “Big Four” major professional sports leagues in North America. We’re honored the Rangers partnered with us for this moment and I’m proud of my team for hitting it out of the park with the design and setting a new standard for what rings should be for a World Series champion,” said Jason Arasheben, CEO Jason of Beverly Hills.
The rings include 103 blue sapphires for their 103 wins, 16 emerald cut diamonds for 16 consecutive games the Rangers homered in, 52 points of diamonds in the word “champions” representing the 52-season history, 23 red rubies for the year they won the title, 11 stones in the ‘T’ for the record of postseason road wins, and another 30 stones in the first circle for the home runs hit in the postseason.
Removing the top reveals 11-0, the team’s 2023 postseason road record. There is also the slogan “ROAD Dominance” written using the logos of the four teams the Rangers beat away from home to become champions. Inside the shank the player’s signature is engraved as well as the postseason series records and the phrase “AS ONE.”
The championship ring ceremony will also be televised during Bally Sports Southwest’s special 90-minute pregame show beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Fans can shop for exclusive items that commemorate the Rangers World Series victory, including the Limited Edition Rangers Championship Ring – of which there are only 103 available, and include many of the elements featured in the Player’s Championship Ring.
