San Antonio police say a wrong-way driver caused a two-vehicle crash early Sunday on the southbound I-37 ramp to U.S. 181.
SAN ANTONIO — A wrong-way crash early Sunday morning sent one driver to the hospital, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Officers were called around 3:17 a.m. to the southbound Interstate 37 off-ramp to U.S. Highway 181 for a major accident involving two vehicles.
Police said a driver was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when the crash happened.
Investigators determined the wrong-way driver struck another vehicle on the ramp.
The wrong-way driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The other driver was evaluated by EMS at the scene and cleared with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and details could change as police continue gathering information.
