SAN ANTONIO — This Father’s Day weekend, the public is invited to Boerne, Texas for the Das Festival of Kendall.
The free three-day event will take over the Main Plaza in downtown from Friday, June 13 to Sunday, June 15.
Das Festival of Kendall celebrates the unique blend of German heritage and the Hill Country culture with various food options, yard games, a parade, family-friendly contests, live music and other activities.
All proceeds from the festival will benefit the Boerne Blaze Special Olympics, Comfort Table & Food Pantry, Heartland Children’s Home, and Bruno Phillip VFW Post #688.
The festival kicks off Friday from 5 p.m. to midnight. Opening night will include live music from Lost Mule Band at 5 p.m., The Toman Brothers at 7 p.m. and headliner Patsy Torres.
Das Festival reopens Saturday at 10 a.m. with a parade down Main Street. WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg will lead the Das Festival Parade as the 2025 Grand Marshal. The procession will include dozens of floats and performers sprinkled throughout the parade route. VIP parade seating is available for $50.
Then from 11 a.m. to midnight guests can enjoy food, sack races, Dachshund races, and the inaugural Steinholding Competition. Musicians like Lacy Brinson, the Joe Panther Band and Two Tons of Steel will take the stage Saturday night.
The last day of the festival will be open from noon to 8 p.m.
Kendall County Judge Shane Stolarzyk signed a proclamation Tuesday morning recognizing Das Festival of Kendall 2025. Organizers met with the county judge and Commissioner Andra Wisian to read the official announcement.
