SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Zoo has been been nominated for USA Today’s Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Zoo in the United States and they are hoping San Antonio area residents will help them zip straight to the top!
The zoo is currently ranked number seven in the nation in USA Today’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice Awards and its aiming for number one. The service allows voters to weigh in on their favorites. Voting is open through March 9 and you can vote once a day in each category.
San Antonio Zoo is also nominated for best exhibit for the Flamingo Mingle, which offers close-up encounters with everyone’s favorite pink bird. The zoo is also nominated for Best Zoo Membership. Benefits of zoo membership include free parking, discounts on food and merchandise, select special events, birthday parties, and invitations to Member Appreciation Days.
