One lucky fan will win a live commercial starring Elijah Wood performed on their front lawn during the game.
WASHINGTON — Skittles is skipping the showing up on everyone’s screens at this year’s Super Bowl, and instead bringing the commercial straight to one fan’s front door.
The candy brand announced that it will replace its traditional Big Game TV ad with a live, in-person experience starring actor Elijah Wood. Instead of airing during the broadcast, Skittles will perform its commercial at the home of one lucky fan on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, the day of Super Bowl LX.
The first-of-its-kind campaign asks fans to enter for a chance to win the experience now through Jan. 21 by visiting DeliverTheRainbow.com.
One lucky winner will receive a live Skittles commercial performed by Wood, complete with a full production crew, equipment, staging, branded decor, and set elements, according to the official contest rules.
The moment will also be livestreamed across Skittles’ social platforms during the game.
To enter, eligible U.S. homeowners age 18 and older must complete a submission form with their name, email and address, and answer a short prompt explaining why they should be selected. The response must be between 50 and 250 words and cannot be generated using AI. Entrants must also have an active Gopuff account.
Participants must be legal U.S. residents, have a valid government-issued photo ID, and own and live in a single-family home or detached dwelling with a front yard large enough to stage a live performance.
Submissions will be judged on creativity, brand spirit, and storytelling, with entries scored on a 100-point scale. A potential winner is expected to be notified on or around Jan. 21 and will need to pass a background check, provide proof of home ownership and allow site inspections before the production moves forward.
The stunt is part of Skittles’ partnership with Gopuff and imagines a world where Wood’s character can be magically summoned by a magical horn to deliver candy. This year, the brand is making that fantasy real by delivering not just Skittles but the Super Bowl commercial itself.
“SKITTLES has always delivered deliciously perplexing experiences to fans, but this year we are bringing the unexpected to fans on game day,” said Gabrielle Wesley, chief marketing officer of Mars Snacking North America. “Snack selection is nearly as important as the Big Game, so we’re excited to give fans a chance to summon SKITTLES, a live commercial, and yes, Elijah Wood too.”
