HOUSTON — Police are searching for two 12-year-old sisters who were reported missing after school on Monday afternoon in west Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
Ayak and Anyieth Maketh were last seen around 4 p.m. leaving Paul Revere Middle School on Briar Forest Drive, just west of Beltway 8. Witnesses said the girls may have been walking south toward Westheimer Road.
Ayak is described as being 4 feet tall, weighing 50 pounds, and having braided hair. She was last seen wearing a shirt that reads “Gaza Free,” as shown in her photo.
Anyieth is 4 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 65 pounds, and also has braided hair. She was last seen wearing a black-and-white jacket, as shown in her photo.
Police said both girls speak limited English and are fluent in Swahili.
