Zach Bryan breaks attendance record at Frost Bank Center surpassing George Strait

The up and rising country music star just eclipsed George Straight’s long-standing record, which he set at the venue’s inaugural concert in 2002.

SAN ANTONIO — Country music star Zach Bryan is clearly loved here in San Antonio as he just set a new concert attendance record at the Frost Bank Center.

On July 30, Bryan held the first of his back-to-back concerts at the Frost Bank Center where he reached third on the all-time attendance list. But he wasn’t done there as San Antonians showed out the following night and helped him break the all-time attendance record for the venue with 17,353 tickets sold.

The previous record of 17,233 tickets sold stood for almost 22 years and was held by the legend himself George Straight at the venue’s inaugural concert on Nov. 2, 2002.

“The magic created by Zach Bryan, our incredible fans and our dedicated team, culminating in a record-breaking night, was a dream come true,” said Mindy Corr, VP and General Manager at Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “While the numbers are impressive, the true measure of success is in the unforgettable experiences we’ve created for our fans. None of this would have been possible without our incredible staff who worked tirelessly on back-to-back shows to deliver the ultimate experience for all attendees.”

2024 has been an outstanding year for the Frost Bank Center as the venue has already hosted 25 shows with 13 of those being sell-outs and is on track for 50 concerts by the end of the year. This piggybacks off of a stellar 2023 where over 400,000 people attended 41 concerts at the venue, along with a 13% rise in out-of-town ticket buyers, drawing fans from Austin, Laredo and Houston, according to the venue.
