A South Texas school district is asking the public for help in identifying a trio of persons of interest in a school robbery. Corpus Christi Independent School District called on the public after the group reportedly caused thousands of dollars in damages and stolen property.

The robbery happened around 4 a.m. on Monday, March 4, at the old Mary Carroll High School located near Weber Road and Tiger Lane in Corpus Christi, according to Corpus Christi Crime Stoppers. The district police say the persons of interest spent between two to three hours on the campus.

Investigators told MySA that the group climbed on top of the school and gutted a breaker system and control panel filled with copper wiring. CCISD police noted that the trio made sure to cut power to the breaker to avoid hitting live wires.

Based on the evidence left behind, CCISD police believe the incident was planned ahead of time with a “stake out” of some sort, as special equipment was needed to cut through three-inch copper pipes.

Police shared surveillance footage of the robbery. However, only one of the three persons of interest is clearly visible.
