HOUSTON — The 2025 Houston Texans schedule was released on Wednesday night.
After a disappointing end to the 2024 season, the Texans are looking to bounce back and make it further in the playoffs than they did a year ago. The Kansas City Chiefs ended Houston’s run in the Division Round in January.
Since 2011, the Texans have won the AFC South division eight times, including the past two seasons.

Offseason moves
The Texans made a flurry of moves on the offensive line this offseason. They traded away Laremy Tunsil and brought on some fresh talent to protect C.J. Stroud.
They also traded for former Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
The franchise also locked up some homegrown talent by extending defensive backs Derek Stingley Jr. and Jalen Pitre.
They also extended defensive lineman Danielle Hunter.
How tough is the Texans’ schedule?
According to Caesars Sportsbook, the Houston Texans enter the 2025 NFL season with the 18th-toughest strength of schedule in the league.
Their opponents combined for a .481 winning percentage in 2024, the same as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, placing them in the middle of the pack. That means while Houston won’t face the league’s most grueling path, marquee matchups like road games against the Chiefs and Ravens, along with home tilts against the 49ers and Bills, still present major challenges for a team looking to build on last season’s playoff momentum.
Want tickets?
NFL single-game tickets will go on sale immediately after the schedule release on Wednesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. Central, according to Ticketmaster. Be ready — Texans home games against playoff contenders could sell fast.
