Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller taken to the hospital after he ‘began to feel unwell’

The San Antonio Fire Department said they transported a patient from Assumption Seminary on West Woodlawn, which is the residence for the Archdiocese.

SAN ANTONIO — Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller of the Archdiocese of San Antonio was taken to the hospital after feeling unwell Tuesday.

The San Antonio Fire Department said they transported a patient via ambulance from Assumption Seminary on West Woodlawn, which is the residence for Archdiocese.

The Archdiocese of San Antonio’s spokesperson Jordan McMurrough released this statement:

Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS, began to feel unwell as he was presiding at the 9:30 a.m. Mass this morning in the St. Joseph’s Chapel at the archdiocesan Pastoral Ministry Center. He was transported to the hospital and is undergoing evalution. The archbishop is alert and in good spirits. Prayers are requested for the health of Archbishop Gustavo.
