Austin man with cognitive impairment found safe

Police say his disappearance posed a risk to his health and safety.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing man in Austin, and authorities say time is critical.

The Austin Police Department is searching for a 75-year-old man, who has been diagnosed with a cognitive impairment.

Officials say he was last seen around 6 p.m. on April 30 in the 5600 block of Berkman Drive in Austin.

He is described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 180 pounds, with white hair and black eyes. He was last seen wearing a white and gray striped shirt and blue jeans.

Authorities say his disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety.

Anyone who sees Henson or has information about his whereabouts is urged to call the Austin Police Department at 512-974-5000 or dial 911.
