Mark your calendar: Here’s when the Spurs play the Timberwolves in the second round of the NBA Playoffs

It’s official: San Antonio will take on Minnesota in the playoffs for the first time since 2001. Here’s the game day schedule.

SAN ANTONIO — The matchup is set: Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2026 playoffs

The sixth-seeded Timberwolves managed to finish off the third-seeded Denver Nuggets in Game 6 of their series on Thursday night, despite being without their star, Anthony Edwards, and two more of their top-six scorers from this year. Minnesota is seeking its third-straight trip to the Western Conference Finals after going 49-33 in the regular season.

The Silver & Black, meanwhile, will be well-rested after capping their first playoff series win in nine years Tuesday night.

The NBA has announced the dates for the second-round series between the Spurs and Timberwolves, which tips off Monday at Frost Bank Center. Like the series against Portland, the matchup will again follow a format that gives the Spurs home-court advantage.

It will be another best-of-seven series.
