HOUSTON – Body camera footage from the Houston Police Department shows the moments an officer saved a man and three dogs out of flood waters.
The rescue happened around noon on Saturday near where the San Jacinto River enters Lake Houston.
HPD Officer Scott heard a man yelling for help in a trailer park and responded in a jet ski, police said.
The footage shows Officer Scott rescuing the man and his dog from 8 to 10 feet of water, according to HPD.
The man mentions another dog that Officer Scott could save, and he goes underwater for the rescue.
Afterward, Officer Scott learns of a third dog in trouble in the flood. He also goes on to save that dog.
