SAN ANTONIO — A bystander was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound following a road rage shooting on the northwest side, officials say.
San Antonio police were called to the area of O’Connor Road and Misty Run Drive for a shooting in progress around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police say that a road rage situation started down Stahl Road. Two cars were driving and police believe for an unknown reason they stopped and one of the people inside one of the vehicles started shooting.
Neither one of the people in the cars were hit, but police say a bystander on the sidewalk was struck by gunfire. That person, in their late teens to early 20s, was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to SAPD.
Police say the nearby school was not put on lockdown.
No suspects are in custody at this time.
This is a developing situation and KENS 5 will continue to update this article as we learn more.
