Crews are being forced to fight the fire defensively due to the amount of flames engulfing the building, according to SAFD.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Fire and Police departments are on the scene of a very heavy fire at an abandoned Sonic on the south side.
Around 7:12 p.m., officials responded to the intersection of Southeast Military and Lorita drives after receiving reports of a structure fire at a restaurant.
Preliminary information from SAFD suggests the fire is still “very active” and was found coming from an abandoned Sonic.
Officials said crews are being forced to fight the fire defensively due to the amount of flames engulfing the building.
