SAN ANTONIO — The Harlandale ISD Police Department is warning local businesses about a person who is allegedly posing as a district representative and asking for donations.
According to district police, the individual has been claiming to represent a Harlandale summer softball league while seeking money from businesses in the area.
District officials said the person is not employed by Harlandale ISD and is not authorized to collect funds on the district’s behalf.
Police are encouraging businesses and community members to verify district credentials before making any donations or contributions connected to Harlandale ISD programs or activities.
The Harlandale ISD Police Department is asking anyone who is approached by the individual or asked to provide money under the alleged scheme to contact investigators at 210-989-4753.
