Twenty-two giant animatronic dinosaurs have stomped into the San Antonio Zoo for the limited-time Zoorassic Park experience running through Sept. 7.
SAN ANTONIO — Hold onto your fossils, San Antonio.
The dinosaurs have officially escaped extinction and taken over the San Antonio Zoo.
Through Sept. 7, the zoo is transforming into “Zoorassic Park,” a prehistoric playground featuring 22 giant animatronic dinosaurs lurking around nearly every corner. From towering T. rexes to speedy Velociraptors and mighty Triceratops, these ancient giants are ready to make a colossal comeback.
Visitors can roar with excitement as they come face-to-face with creatures that ruled the Earth long before smartphones, air conditioning and breakfast tacos.
The larger-than-life dinosaurs move, roar and create plenty of roar-some photo opportunities for budding paleontologists and dinosaur superfans alike.
Zoo officials say the limited-time attraction combines the thrill of seeing real animals with the chance to take a Jurassic journey millions of years into the past.
In other words, it’s dino-soar good.
The prehistoric takeover runs through Labor Day weekend, so families won’t want to tricera-top procrastinating. Once these dinos migrate back into extinction, they’re gone.
No bones about it, this could be San Antonio’s most roar-iginal summer adventure.
