Kendall County has received a $700,000 federal grant to boost law enforcement’s response to cybercrimes.
KENDALL COUNTY, Texas — Kendall County will receive a federal grant aimed at strengthening local law enforcement’s response to cybercrimes.
U.S. Sen. John Cornyn announced that the county has been awarded $700,000 in federal funding.
According to the announcement, the money comes through the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women.
The grant is expected to support specialized training for investigators and prosecutors, expand digital evidence capabilities, enhance victim advocacy efforts and help develop response protocols for cyber-related crimes.
County officials say the funding will bolster efforts to address the growing number of technology-based offenses affecting the community.
