
SAN ANTONIO – Light freezing rain continues to fall in the Hill Country and into North San Antonio and metal surfaces, trees and streets have begun to collect ice. Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, have become slick.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has the following road closures listed in unincorporated areas of Bexar County on Tuesday:

Boerne Stage Rd at Baywater Stage: ice on bridge

(REOPENED) E Evans Rd at E Loma View: ice on bridge

11300 Block of State Hwy 211: ice on bridge

24900 Block Scenic Loop: ice on bridge

Bridge over Lookout Road and railroad is closed due to ice.

A crash involving multiple vehicles has been reported at the flyover ramp at US 281 NB at Loop 1604.
In addition, a major crash involving multiple vehicles was reported on the Loop 1604 exit ramp near Lookout Road. The crash happened just after 8 a.m. and early reports indicate the crash may involve as many as 10 vehicles. It has since cleared. A major crash was also reported along the frontage road of I-10 WB between US 87 and Christus Pkwy in Boerne. A portion of Interstate 10 at the Kerr-Kimble county line is closed on Tuesday morning due to a crash involving multiple 18-wheelers. Kerrville police said traffic is at a standstill on the westbound lanes.
Early Tuesday, another major crash was reported along Highway 281 at Borgfeld Drive. SAPD said to avoid that area if possible. A multi-car pileup also closed the O’Connor bridge on the city’s NE Side around 6 a.m.
More freezing rain is expected, mainly along and north of Highway 1604, through Wednesday. Some significant ice accumulation is possible in the Hill Country.
