Live Oak man arrested in decade-old child assault case

Police say the suspect faces an aggravated sex assault charge with a $75,000 bond.

LIVE OAK, Texas — A 30-year-old man is in custody following an arrest connected to a child assault reported to have occurred about a decade ago, according to Live Oak police.

Police arrested Daniel Walden on Saturday. An arrest report said the assault happened when the victim was four years old, while the child’s parents were at work.

Walden is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. He remains in jail with bond set at $75,000.
