Lubbock radio show host identified as victim killed in motorcycle crash on the west side

Medical examiners identified the victim as 44-year-old Amy Garza, a Lubbock radio show host known as “Amy-O.”

SAN ANTONIO — Officials identified the victim of a deadly motorcycle crash early Saturday morning on the west side as a well-known radio host from Lubbock.

Medical examiners identified the victim as 44-year-old Amy Garza, a Lubbock radio show host known as “Amy-O” on 104.9 The Beat.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. Saturday on Highway 90 near General McMullen when a vehicle side-swiped the motorcycle. Police say Garza was a passenger on the bike and impact threw her off the motorcycle. She died at the scene.  The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police say the other driver who hit the bike took off.
