Man accused of threatening judge and law enforcement sought in South Texas

Authorities say the suspect is armed, dangerous and may be moving between counties.

Authorities in multiple South Texas counties are searching for a man accused of making serious threats against a judge and law enforcement.

The Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office and Karnes County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help locating Louis Sanchez III.

Investigators say Sanchez is considered armed and dangerous and has a history of violence. They also warn he moves frequently, making him harder to track.

According to officials, Sanchez is accused of threatening to kill a local district judge and harm or kill law enforcement officers.

Once arrested, he is expected to face charges including terroristic threat against a judge and failure to appear for assault causing bodily injury.

Authorities say he was last believed to be in the Falls City area of Karnes County, but could be anywhere.

Anyone who sees Sanchez or knows where he may be is urged to call the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office at 830-769-3434, the Karnes County Sheriff’s Office at 830-780-3931, or 911.

Officials stress: do not approach him.
