SAN ANTONIO — A man is now facing charges after police say he made a threat against the San Antonio mayor’s office and an animal hospital in New Braunfels.
According to an arrest affidavit, Kendall Durand, 43, is charged with making a terror threat against a public servant of causing serious bodily injury.
The affidavits says he called the City of San Antonio Mayor’s office and left a voicemail on May 14. The voicemail stated,”I will have a Mexican drug cartel plant a bomb in your office if you don’t clear the food in this area.”
The threat was reported to police and investigators tracked it down to Durand’s phone number, the affidavit says.
SAPD also contacted New Braunfels police, who told them the same man had made similar statements to an Animal Hospital.
