Man shot after argument on San Antonio’s west side; police search for suspect

Investigators say gunfire broke out during a dispute, leaving one person injured and prompting a search for a man police believe is connected to the shooting.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot during an argument that started on Florencia Avenue on Friday morning, according to investigators.

Authorities say a man and a woman were inside a white BMW when they got into a dispute with another man just before 7 a.m. Friday. During the confrontation, shots were fired, and the man inside the BMW was struck in the leg.

He was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK, police said.

Investigators said after the man was shot, the shooter chased their car to Southwest 34th Street before leaving them.

Police said they are still looking for the suspect, and the investigation remains ongoing.
