Man shot by daughter’s boyfriend during domestic disturbance, police say

A mother was fighting with her boyfriend when her daughter’s boyfriend got involved and a weapon was discharged.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot after getting involved in a domestic disturbance on the far northeast side of town, police say.

San Antonio Police responded to the 15100 block of Vigil View, which is in between Toepperwein Road and Judson Road, around 7 a.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.

When officers arrived, they found the victim, a man in his late 30s, with a single gunshot wound to the right side of his stomach.

Police say a mother and her boyfriend started scuffling and then her daughter’s boyfriend jumped into the altercation and someone’s gun went off. Police were told the daughter’s boyfriend was not aware there was a gun.
Police are still trying to determine who pulled the trigger.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition. Police are calling the mother’s boyfriend the suspect, saying it was his gun.

This is a developing story.
