SAN ANTONIO — A disagreement over a haircut turned violent early Tuesday morning after a man was slashed during a fight on San Antonio’s east side, according to police.
The San Antonio Police Department says officers were called around 3:41 a.m. near Utah Street and Dreiss Street for a reported cutting.
Investigators say the victim got into an altercation with three other men over a haircut when the fight escalated.
During the scuffle, police say the man was slashed across the back.
Authorities say the victim left the original location on Olive Street and did not call for help until about an hour and a half later.
The man was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center in stable condition.
Police later returned to the original location and attempted to contact the suspected attackers, but no one answered the door and officers eventually disengaged.
The investigation remains ongoing.
San Antonio Fire Department and EMS also responded.
