Justin Gutierrez, accused of road rage shooting, is on the run with his three children. The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office urges public assistance for his arrest.
GUADALUPE COUNTY, Texas — A man wanted in connection with a road rage shooting is on the run and Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office says he has three young kids with him.
The sheriff’s office shared a photo early Tuesday morning identifying the suspect as Justin Gutierrez. They say he faces a number of charges including aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Monday afternoon, another driver reportedly followed Gutierrez, who was with his wife, from San Antonio to his home in Seguin. Investigators say he shot that other driver on Old Seguin Luling Road.
The other driver was grazed in the head by the bullet and is in the hospital. Officials say he has been speaking with detectives.
Meanwhile, deputies say Gutierrez dropped his wife off at home, and grabbed the three kids and drove to a home on Pine Street in Seguin. The Sheriff’s Office responded to a barricaded suspect, but hours later, they realized he had gotten away and taken the kids.
They are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office as soon as possible.
