Officials searching for suspect accused of starting 2 fires on private property in north Bexar County

Authorities seek the public’s help in identifying a man accused of setting two fires on private property in north Bexar County.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Investigators with the Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest believed to have intentionally set two fires on private property in northern Bexar County.

According to authorities, the individual was last seen Tuesday, May 19, fleeing from a local church near Overlook Parkway and U.S. Highway 281.

Investigators described the person of interest as a light-complected male who appears to be in his 20s. He was reportedly wearing a black-and-gray baseball cap, a black San Antonio Spurs T-shirt featuring the No. 1, dark-colored basketball shorts and black-and-white sneakers. Authorities said he was also carrying a black backpack.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is asking anyone with information about the individual’s identity or whereabouts not to approach him. Instead, anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office at 210-335-0300.
