According to online court records, Carlos Eduardo Valencia, was out on bond for a DWI charge, and is now facing his third DWI charge after Friday night’s incident.

SAN ANTONIO — SAN ANTONIO, Texas— A man was arrested and now facing multiple charges after running into two San Antonio Police officers during holiday festivities downtown Friday evening, according to San Antonio Police.

Officials said Carlos Eduardo Valencia, 33, ran a stop sign at the intersection of W. Crockett and Presa St. around 7:45 p.m., when he was stopped by a San Antonio Park police officer.

Another officer was crossing the intersection to assist, when police said Valencia made a right turn and hit one of the officers.

Valencia didn’t stop and drove off, according to SAPD, but was later arrested after hitting another officer working in the area.

According to police, the on-duty SAPD officer was working the River Parade at the intersection of St. Mary’s and Commerce and was trying to get Valencia to get out of his car, when Valencia hit him.

The San Antonio Park Officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The SAPD officer also sustained minor injuries.

Valenica was arrested and charged with aggravated assault against a police officer, failure to stop and render aid, evading arrest with a vehicle, and DWI.
