The iconic Texas waterpark returns for the 2026 season with a new attraction and a big anniversary.
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — Summer in Texas is about to get wetter.
Schlitterbahn New Braunfels officially opens for the 2026 season on Saturday, May 2, welcoming guests back to the world-famous park along the Comal River.
This year’s opening comes with something brand new: Wasserbahn Racers, a three-lane, face-first mat racing slide built into the park’s natural hillside.
The park is also celebrating a major milestone, 30 years of Master Blaster, the attraction credited as the world’s first uphill water coaster.
Schlitterbahn says both the East and West sections of the park will be open every Saturday and Sunday beginning May 2, with daily summer operations starting Memorial Day weekend.
Located on more than 70 acres in the Texas Hill Country, the New Braunfels favorite features more than 40 attractions spread across four park areas.
Season passes start at $95 and include unlimited visits to Schlitterbahn New Braunfels and Schlitterbahn Galveston, along with access to several Six Flags parks and waterparks across Texas.
In other words: sunscreen season has entered the chat.
