Spurs rank near the bottom of NBA team values

The San Antonio Spurs rank 21st in NBA team value at $4.5 billion, according to Sportico.

SAN ANTONIO — Sportico has released its 2025 NBA team valuations, and the San Antonio Spurs are near the bottom of the list.

According to Sportico’s calculations, the Spurs rank 21st in NBA team value at $4.5 billion. This puts the team ahead of the Thunder (22nd) at $4.3 billion. 

Among the Texas NBA teams, the Spurs are far behind the Mavericks and Rockets. The Rockets rank 10th at $5.53 billion, and Dallas is 11th at $5.24 billion.

Sportico also reports that the average NBA team is worth $5.51 billion.

The average NBA team is worth $5.51 billion, according to Sportico’s calculations, up 20% versus last year and 113% from 2022, when the average was $2.58 billion.

The Warriors, according to Sportics, are worth an NBA-high $11.33 billion, and the average NBA team generated an estimated $408 million in revenue last season.

It will be interesting to see whether the Spurs’ valuation rises. The team is poised to snap its playoff drought; Victor Wembanyama’s value to the team will only increase; and if Bexar County voters approve the proposed new downtown arena in November, the franchise’s value may grow.
