Spurs wins mean free pet adoptions at City of San Antonio ACS

City of San Antonio Animal Care Services is waiving adoption fees after every Spurs playoff victory.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio is putting its money where its mascot is.

As the San Antonio Spurs continue their playoff run, City of San Antonio Animal Care Services is launching a furry fast break of its own.

Starting now, adoption fees will drop to $0 the day after every Spurs playoff win for the rest of the postseason.

That means every W could help a shelter pet score a forever home.

Officials say each adoption includes sterilization, a registered microchip, initial vaccinations and lifetime access to shelter trainers.

The shelter is located at 4710 State Highway 151 on the west side.

So if the Spurs go on a streak, expect some serious full-court pressing at the adoption kennels.

Because in San Antonio, chasing seis apparently includes dogs, cats and second chances.
