SAN ANTONIO — In 1996, two coffee lovers were born. Now they’re sharing that love with San Antonio, the Texas Hill Country and even Austin!
Jared and Kelsie Tooker launched 1996 Coffee Co., a mobile expresso bar, on Jan. 4, with the simple mission of showing customers that coffee can be a full experience and not just a beverage. Their coffee cart offers a unique experience – one where guests don’t just wait for their order, they get to watch the Tookers craft each drink and chat along the way.
“Our customer can expect a seamless, professional coffee catering experience featuring delicious coffee and a highly hospitable environment,” Jared said. My wife and I love coffee and the community that revolves around it.”
The couple hope to one day own a brick-and-mortar but are currently happy developing and growing their “coffee cart fleet,” with plans to have a variety of cart types and styles for different events and occasions.
And 1996 Coffee Co, might be the Tooker’s side business but it’s a dream they’ve had for years with the name itself reflecting Jared and Kelsie’s birth year.
“It’s a nod to our beginnings, the year two coffee lovers were born,” Jared said.
Guests can order from their standard menu with bestsellers like their vanilla lattes and their seasonal lavender. And while the menu doesn’t typically change, they will rotate seasonal flavors.
1996 Coffee Co., also offers fully customizable menus to fit event aesthetics and branding for a memorable time – a perfect concept for weddings, corporate outings and other events.
“From custom coffee cart signage, cups and menus to even latte art printed on your drinks. We want you to stand out and create a memorable experience for your guests,” Jared said.
Still not sure what to order? The couple recommends a mocha latte or an iced vanilla latte.
