According to authorities, three young men were inside a car and were leaving a convenience store in the Edison neighborhood when shots rang out.
SAN ANTONIO — Two men were shot in their car while leaving a north-side convenience store, San Antonio police say.
According to authorities, three men were inside a vehicle and departing from the store to head to a friend’s house when the shots rang out. The driver of the vehicle was hit in the head and back, while the back seat passenger was also hit twice in the side. The front seat passenger was not injured, authorities say.
The driver eventually stopped outside a Valero at Hildebrand and Blanco to call for help, which is when police arrived at the scene.
The two injured men, unidentified but estimated to be in their late-teens or early-20s, were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A gun was recovered a block away from the Valero by police, but it’s unclear if it is related to the Monday-night shooting. Police are still looking for the gunman and couldn’t provide a description of the vehicle they’re looking for.
This is a developing story.
