Warriors 118, Spurs 112: What they said after the game

“Losing sucks for sure. We’re competing better, you can say that,” Devin Vassell said after the Spurs’ loss to Golden State.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs‘ losing skid extends to 11 in a row after losing to the Golden State Warriors 118-112 on the road.

Gregg Popovich:

“They did a great job. They completed the entire night. Executed what we wanted to execute. We can do some things better, obviously. We played pretty good defense. We stuck together against a very good team on the road. Hopefully, keep learning.”

“Losing sucks for sure. We’re competing better, you can say that. We’re doing a lot of things better. We’re just a young group and we got to learn how to play 48 minutes. When teams are going on runs we tend to kind of slow down or not run our offense or just little stuff we start messing up on. We just got to learn how to play 48 minutes consistently.”

Wembanyama:

“When we really start growing up and playing what the coach wants us to do and realize it’s going to work and it is going to make us grow this season and the years to come.”

“Of course, it’s hard to lose every time but it’s an everyday fight. We’re trying to adjust some things. To me what’s important is to have no regrets. I think we’re doing everything we can so far.  We’re going to make mistakes, we’re going to lose games. It’s not about that. It’s about what we make to make that change. I’m convinced of the organization, and I trust them. I trust the coach. We got some of the greatest people ever. There’s no way this doesn’t work. I know it will work someday.”
