SAN ANTONIO — Family members of a pregnant woman and her unborn baby who were killed just before Christmas say they will be laid to rest this week after some weather delays.
Matthew Guerra was laid to rest last week in visitation and funeral services.
A funeral for Savanah was delayed due to weather. San Antonio has experienced multiple days of below-freezing temperatures since Sunday.
Her obituary states a visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21, at 5 p.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. A funeral will be held on Monday, January 22, at 9 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A committal service will be held later that day at 12:30 p.m. at Wild Flower Cemetery, 10392 Kriewald Road, San Antonio.
Meanwhile, a father and son were arrested Wednesday and are now facing charges in their deaths, according to police. 19-year-old Christopher Preciado is charged with capital murder as well as charges related to allegations he attempted to hide the bodies. He is set to appear in court in a pre-hearing on February 5. His father, Ramon Preciado, is also facing two charges on allegations he helped his son hide the bodies. He is set to appear in court in a pre-hearing on February 6.
