
A woman is in critical condition after police say she darted into the road and was hit by a truck on the south side late Thursday night.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman in her 40s was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a pickup truck late Thursday night on the city’s south side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police said the crash happened around 11 p.m. along South Zarzamora Street near Interstate 35 and South Park Mall.
According to SAPD, the woman ran into the roadway when she was hit by a passing pickup truck. The driver stopped immediately and rendered aid at the scene, police said.
The woman was transported to University Hospital in critical condition, according to officials.
Investigators said intoxication is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
