
A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle along U.S. Highway 281, according to SAPD.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman was killed in an early morning crash along U.S. Highway 281, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police said officers were dispatched around 4:20 a.m. Thursday to the southbound lanes near 2200 U.S. Highway 281 North for reports of a major accident.
According to SAPD, investigators learned that a woman was driving southbound on the highway when another woman walked into the roadway in front of her vehicle. Police said the driver struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
The investigation remains ongoing.
