Woman injured in motorcycle crash near I-37, police say

Investigators say the rider lost control while heading to a gas station early Tuesday morning.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman was injured in a motorcycle crash just southeast of downtown San Antonio early Tuesday morning.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 12:25 a.m. to the 400 block of Fair Avenue near I-37 for a reported accident.

Police say a 23-year-old woman was traveling southbound on the I-37 access road toward Fair Avenue to get gas when she mistakenly pulled the brake instead of the clutch.

That caused the motorcycle to skid, throwing it onto the lower part of her body.

She was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Her condition has not been released.

Authorities say the crash remains under investigation.
