
Investigators say gunfire was fired into the home after a verbal dispute, leaving a man injured.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was injured after gunfire was fired into his home on San Antonio’s northeast side early Tuesday morning.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 3 a.m. to the 100 block of Serna Park near Walzem Road for a reported shooting.
Police say a 56-year-old man had a verbal argument with a suspect prior to the incident. The suspect then left the location.
Investigators say the man was later asleep inside his home when several shots were fired from outside, with bullets entering the residence and striking him in the lower part of his body.
He was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center in stable condition.
Authorities say the suspect fled the scene, and no arrests have been made.
The case is being investigated as an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
