AFFIDAVIT: SA woman accused of stabbing husband with broken glass during argument at west-side home

Arrest records reveal new details after a woman allegedly stabbed her husband with a broken light bulb amid accusations of infidelity.

SAN ANTONIO — New details are emerging from an arrest warrant for a woman accused of stabbing her husband with a broken light bulb at a west-side home.

According to the arrest warrant, the incident unfolded Wednesday on the 1600 block of West Laurel Street. Investigators said 56-year-old Linda Lopez became enraged and accused her 65-year-old husband of cheating.

Investigators say the argument quickly escalated. The warrant states Lopez attempted to punch her husband, and during the struggle, a long tube light bulb fell to the floor and shattered.

Police say Lopez then picked up a sharp piece of the broken glass and began stabbing him.

The arrest warrant alleges Lopez stabbed her husband multiple times. Investigators also state that during the attack, she told him she wanted to kill him.

Lopez was booked into the Bexar County jail and faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $50,000.

The case remains under investigation.
