AMBER Alert issued for two missing Carrizo Springs children

Royce Cruz and Alva Clay are believed to have been abducted by 37-year-old Dora Cruz.

SAN ANTONIO — An AMBER Alert has been issued for two children, ages 7 and 5, who went missing early Friday afternoon in Carrizo Springs and are believed to be endangered. 

Authorities in Dimmit County say Alva Clay and Royce Cruz were last seen at 2 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of Jay Street. Alva stands 4-feet-5, weighs about 60 pounds, and has brown eyes with brown hair. Royce, the younger child, stands 4 feet tall, weighs 50 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair. 

It’s unknown if the children are siblings. 

Authorities have identified the suspect as 37-year-old Dora Cruz, who stands 5-feet-1, weighs 120 pounds, and has brown eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a white, pink and yellow-colored T-shirt. 

No information has been provided about a vehicle the trio may be traveling in.
