SAN ANTONIO — A fire broke out early Thursday morning at a Helotes barbecue restaurant, causing moderate damage but no injuries.
According to fire officials, crews responded around 3 a.m. to the 12000 block of Bandera Road, where a gas fire had started inside the kitchen of Porky J’s BBQ & Southern Kitchen.
Firefighters were able to quickly bring the flames under control, preventing the fire from spreading further. No injuries were reported.
Officials said the restaurant location previously experienced a similar type of incident involving a kitchen fire. The cause of Thursday’s fire remains under investigation.
Damage to the building was described by fire officials as moderate.
