
Police say a man was shot during a jewelry sale gone wrong at an apartment complex on the southwest side Wednesday night.
SAN ANTONIO — A man in his 20s was injured in a shooting late Wednesday during what police described as a jewelry sale in the parking lot of a southwest-side apartment complex.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 10:12 p.m. to the 9100 block of Excellence Drive, at The Scott at Medio Creek apartments.
Police said the victim was attempting to sell jewelry in the parking lot when the suspect grabbed the item and pulled out a gun, demanding more property. An argument followed, and during the confrontation, police said the suspect fired a shot, striking the victim in the leg.
SAPD said the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.
The victim was taken to University Hospital and is listed in stable condition, according to officials.
No description of the suspect or vehicle was immediately released. The investigation remains ongoing.
