Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in northwest San Antonio, police say

A man was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing a road outside a crosswalk on the city’s northwest side on Friday night, according to SAPD.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a northwest side roadway late Friday night, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Police said officers responded to a major accident call around 10:18 p.m. in the 11500 block of Huebner Road.

According to SAPD, the man, believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a blue Infiniti traveling eastbound on Huebner Road.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

SAPD said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
