COMAL COUNTY, Texas — A Houston man convicted in a violent domestic violence case in Comal County will spend the next 45 years in prison.

According to the Comal County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, 52-year-old Rolando Cisneros pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges connected to a 2024 abuse case.

Investigators said the victim told authorities she had only dated Cisneros for a few months before he became increasingly abusive.

According to prosecutors, the victim attempted to leave the relationship several times, but Cisneros would track her down and punish her for trying to escape.

The victim told investigators that over the course of a weekend, Cisneros assaulted her repeatedly by hitting and kicking her, choking her and threatening to stab her if she tried to leave.

Days later, authorities said the woman was able to escape and seek help with assistance from a concerned citizen who contacted police.

Officials said Cisneros was charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and several other offenses tied to the incident.

Cisneros also had previous convictions for felony family violence assault and is a confirmed member of the Tango Blast gang, prosecutors said.
